Actually, I think she is right. If one is a Christian, I do wonder why one would celebrate Halloween, and, IIRC, there is one of the Protestant churches that actually does not (maybe the Pentecostal?).

Since I'm not a Christian, it doesn't matter to me, though I don't particularly like Halloween, but I can't say I really care.

There was a kid in our class who wasn't allowed to do any of the Halloween stuff because his parents wouldn't let him for religious reasons (ie it being pagan etc). Always seemed a crappy deal that while we spent the afternoon in costumes eating candy at the class party he had to go sit in the library.
