Subsidizing Fast Food

Not only do we subsidize all the workers because they aren't paid a living wage, but we get to subsidize the pay checks of the CEO's.

I thought the Internet would change things, but so far, it just makes me really bitter, because we have all this knowledge, and nothing is changing.

It changes. It just changes incrementally. And somethings it's a 2 steps back and 1 step forward evolution. When you are immersed in getting by it may look like it isn't changing. Or if you are the one being gored by the sacred cow it may seem grossly unfair ( well, because it can be). Sooner or later though the pendulum swings. The system has to change and evolve because there are really only three states possible. Stagnation, Growth and Evolution, or Revolution. Nothing stays the same. Stagnation cannot last because no system truly remains stagnant. Growth and Evolution must occur with periods of Stagnation. If Stagnation occurs for too long Revolution or Growth and Evolution will occur. Nature refuses to let anything just stand still.

Unfortunately, if you are on the bottom of the heap things are currently going through a period of stagnation.
