come gentle night. come loving black browed night
give me my romeo. and when he shall die
take him and cut him out in little stars
and he will make the face of heaven so fine
that all will be in love with night
and pay no worship to the garish sun. william shakespeare

So how about this morning I caught the beginning of the show I was going on (starts at 7 but I didn't need to be at the studio until ten to 8) and when one guy mentioned it's Pi Day another talked smack about it and in terms of my being a guest said "I wonder if she'll bring pie?" Well fuck, couldn't let that stand, and a bakery in my area makes good mini one person apple pies, so I took over a few to continue the joke. They were pretty floored, obviously. ;)

Happy Pi Day indeed!

Wait... you live in Europe....

You must have 14 months in your year and it is the third day of the 14th month, or the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter is 14.3.

Hahahaha well I actually had quite a few astronomers complain about this story to me. I always respond with "well, if you guys want to start conforming to my standards I'm not complaining!" ;)

Also in those circles to be fair, Pi Day is out and Tau Day on June 28 is in...

There is even a stuffed bear who supports Tau.
