Also, to complicate matters, baby is due November 22. Smack dab around when I was planning my PhD defense. Well, so guess if my submission date slips I will have a December defense date, because overall one of us is more flexible than the other and while I know my mom wouldn't want to miss either my defense or being around for the birth of her first grandchild, I know which one would win.

ikyoto and loresinger, thank you for what I am sure were expressions of regard but are you aware that bubbe means 'grandmother'? if so, I must point out to you that I am not nearly old enough to qualify.
