Perhaps one of my top five shows recently and certainly top ten all time. The Americans is a drama set in Reagan-era Washington DC about two Soviet KGB agents living undercover as Americans ('illegals' as they were called). Acting and writing is superb. I finally finished the show's finale yesterday.

I've always been intrigued by it. It's been on a number of years, right? Is it necessary to start from the beginning?

Six seasons. Yes, you definitely need to watch the episodes in order, starting from Ep. 1.
