Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Postby Rommie » Thu Dec 24, 2020 6:03 pm

To those who celebrate, and hopefully a bit of time to rest for those who don’t.

I’m in the middle of reading a 700 page novel that’s always waited for the right moment (The Thornbirds), and gonna make some Xmas cookies in a bit (if rum balls are Xmas cookies? We made a sad looking gingerbread house last night from a kit too), and as Hungarians we do the present exchange tonight. Got some packages in from relatives we were told to save so it’s not even all stuff we bought for ourselves!

Cheers all :)

Well no baking is needed and in Hungarian a cookie needs to be baked. These are held together by honey and alcohol.

Whatevs they were awesome- normally it’s just sugar on the outside but this time I added cinnamon, which we are definitely doing in the future.

Cinnamon is sort of like the bacon of the spice world. Everything is better with cinnamon. :cheer:

And a happy new year to all! I was able to take off of work from Christmas Eve to yesterday, so it was nice to have that time off with the family. And I got a nice new telescope. :D

Transit Strike? No. Since Jan. 4. The government, citing a rise in COVID-19 cases, has kept most of the cities on lock-down. Haven't seen anything about a Transit Strike

Well, if everyone is staying home for COVID it would be hard to notice a strike at the same time.
