Food Porn

Can't have a bar without a Grill... So here's where we discuss great (and no so great) food. The good, the bad and the "even the dog won't eat it" mistakes of our culinary attempts...

Well, yeah. Any religion that created cilice, scourging, and other mortifications of the flesh has to be damn good at instilling guilt in a person.

Jewish guilt is subtle and sort of like a velvet blunt object. Catholic guilt is sharp and draws blood. :P

I tend to be rather conservative with smilies, but this one was too good to pass.

And BTW Mr. Nuclear Engineer, I am not to fond of fish, but that catfish (when the Pic was actually viewable :) ) looked pretty damned good.....

GJ, I have some ribs...

3 racks, potato's, or if you're in politics, potatoes.
Having slaw with them.

Yum!

I just don't take good pictures at all - no depth perception however tonight's fare is honey-pinapple-chicken skewers with macaroni salad and vanilla ice cream topped with honey-nut cornbread crumbles (we'd actually hoped for bread but I didn't use enough liquid ... still tastes great, sadly not the best baker)

Made Thai ginger prawn stir fry today.
Used some Jamaican hot peppers.
Damn that burned!
They claim they are 200-300 thousand scorvilles but it hit me like it was in the million mark.
MIL couldn't eat it. Wifey had troubles eating it.
I had sweat dripping like crazy.
But it was good.
No pics, sorry :D

For our 25th anniversary, the wife and I went to a restaurant in Cleveland called Trentina. It opened about a year ago or so and the chef is Jonathan Sawyer, who has been nominated for the James Beard award a couple of times. It is his take on Northern Italian cuisine. We did the 12 course tasting menu, which took about 3 hours. A couple of photos from the dinner

Only 3 hours for a tasting menu? That’s fast food!

Well, they try to turn over the tables at least 3 times in a 24 hour period.
