What are you going to be for Halloween?

What are you going to be for Halloween?

Postby pumpkinpi » Tue Oct 29, 2013 6:34 pm

I just realized I have the perfect article of clothing to dress up as something WAY out of this world: the Hubble Deep Field!
http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/made ... 6spc%3D263

Buster is going to be a Ninja Turtle. It's the latest craze going around his day care, and he got a Donatello costume for his birthday so that was an easy decision. Although I don't want him to dress up as anything that fights or has weapons at day care, so he's happy to wear his astronaut costume from last year. He's excited that he gets to be two things.

Russter's going to be a Rooster. If we can get her to keep the costume on. Right now she refuses!

The Poe is going to be a ninja... I'm going to be a witch (as usual), wearing jeans and a t-shirt that says "Blessed Be, Y'all"... I have class Halloween night, so I'll miss all the trick or treaters... :(

Son'o'mine will be "father of the ninja" and Fisher will be the "bowler of the season", I guess... LOL

No frickin way. That is too awesome. My sister in law works at Macy's and got it for me for my birthday. I find it a bit loud for everyday wear, but I did wear it to a fancyish dinner with planetarium colleagues this summer, and of of course it's perfect for Halloween! I'm sure I'll find some other appropriate occasions to wear it over the years.

As opposed to not being a frat boy and taking advantage of your wife? :P

Haha yeah I was out shopping with my mom back in March and saw it... and then after searching we found one where the big spherical blob galaxy wasn't cut to fit exactly on my stomach (cause that was NOT good placement for any woman!). Wore it to one or two parties and think I'll get good mileage- I hadn't thought of Halloween, maybe next year!

Little M was a mummy this year... somehow he managed to transfer the Weltschmerz of a 3,000 year old living corpse in a 7 year old boy.

Wow they are all so cute.
Love our godson dressed as a mummy.
Be good to see him again soon but I'm sure he's have all of 2 minutes entertainment with us before doing his thing again. As it should be. :D

I went as shopping mom... wait... that wasn't a costume.

True story. I had put out candy since I knew I would be lateish thurs. My daughter took it with her because we typically get NO kids (and she wanted to try to hand some out). I get home from shopping and am taking groceries in and kids descend upon me (only for me to discover - no candy)

Thankfully everyone was nice about it but I loved the kid who asked "how about mustard?" -- that child has a future.

yeah, they do. there's a large US community here and even in our area, after the Americans left the tradition stayed. Where we are there are mainly locals, French and a mix of other nationalities, but many houses are still decorated for Halloween so the kids know where to go for their T or T. we probably had around a 100 kids come around on the Saturday before Halloween (which is when it was done at our condo). then later in the evening there is a kids' Halloween movie in the party centre.

last year, some of the houses in the other neighbourhoods were even set up with life sized robot ghouls standing in the garden.

We had some of those.

I was driving early morning a couple of weekends ago, still dark and it was on a street with no lights. As I rounded a curve, my headlights illuminated a 'guy' standing by the curb, dressed like something out of a horror movie. Scared the crap out of me.
