Dear Algebra -- stop asking us to find your x. She's not coming back - ever. Get over it.

Awesome. It won't be too long before they put a man, or woman, there.

Soon they'll be collecting moon locks and then sending manned lockets to the Moon and Mas.

I joke but good on them. I hope they become the new leaders in manned space exploration because at least we know they will keep going instead of stagnating.

Looks like the damned thing has a major malfunction.

China Moon rover Jade Rabbit in trouble
They don't think rover will last the lunar night.

Yet, all in all, it's one hell of a first step.

Neil Armstrong is Neil Armstrong, not Jade Rabbit :P

Russia's Lunokhod Rovers lasted longer though.

It's a pretty hard design challenge to make a rover last a long time.
Things being the way they are sometimes you just get a part that fails and there is no way to predict that.
I'd imagine all their stuff is radiation hardened and goes through a long burn in cycle to put it in the low fail part of the bath tub curve and even then sometimes its just plain bad luck.
I think I'd enjoy designing stuff for space missions.
Lots of challenges, no need to work with a stupid budget, just technical challenges including minimising weight.
